Campari Spritz

A refreshingly bitter complement to the Aperol Spritz, I have been delighting in its elder counterpart, the Campari Spritz. Vibrant and quenching, the Campari Spritz is an exciting alternative to a newer, more popular aperitif we know and love as Aperol. Offered in just about every café and bar between France and Italy, channel the magic of the Riviera while sipping this exquisite beverage. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 ounces Campari, chilled

3 ounces sparkling wine, such as Prosecco, sparkling wine, champagne, chilled

1-ounce soda water

Lemon Wedge, for garnish

Ice

Pour ice and Campari in a glass, and stir to chill the aperitif prior to mixing. Once at the desired temperature, top with your preferred sparkling wine and soda water. Squeeze the juice of a lemon wedge into the spritz and save the rind for garnish.
