Passionate Paloma with Rakija


1.5 oz Legende Rakija

2.5 oz grapefruit juice

1 tablespoon simple syrup

Pinch of salt

Sparkling wine

Grapefruit wedge

Dried rose bud

Tajín, for garnish


Simple Syrup:

.5 cup of sugar

.5 cup water

.5 oz rose water

For the simple syrup; combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring, until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool. Once completely cooled, stir in your rose water. Keep refrigerated.

Mix together rakija, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and pinch of salt in a shaker of your choosing. Top off with sparkling wine, or sparkling water, and a single large ice cube. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge dipped in Tajín, and a few dried rose petals. Živeli!
